#1.Economics = The branch of social science that deals with the production and distribution and consumption of goods and services and their management.(the knowledge field) - it doesn't fit the context well.
Economy = The system of production and distribution and consumption.(Wordweb)
In this context, which shows overall Indonesia's Economy performance, economy is better suited to the context.
However, in this phrase, people usually prefer use 'economic', the adjective form, as the catchphrase to denote the indicator which shows the economy performance.

Homonym vs Homophone

Words that sound alike are homophones. (not homonyms). (this is purely my definition), especially in the sentence with words like: 'They're/their/there'.

Oxford (online):
Each of two or more words having the same spelling or pronunciation but different meanings and origins.
Example: For example, pole and pole

Ok then, I know this might incite some debates, but the definition in the Webster:

Homonym can be troublesome because it may refer to three distinct classes of words. Homonyms may be words with identical pronunciations but different spellings and meanings, such as to, too, and two. Or they may be words with both identical pronunciations and identical spellings but different meanings, such as quail (the bird) and quail (to cringe). Finally, they may be words that are spelled alike but are different in pronunciation and meaning, such as the bow of a ship and bow that shoots arrows. The first and second types are sometimes called homophones, and the second and third types are sometimes called homographs--which makes naming the second type a bit confusing. Some language scholars prefer to limit homonym to the third type.

Why don't we just define that homonyms are strictly words with identical pronunciations and spellings but different meanings?

We have these 'words':

1.Homophone: Each of two or more words having the same pronunciation but different meanings, origins, or spelling.

For example, new and knew

2.Homograph:  Each of two or more words spelled the same but not necessarily pronounced the same and having different meanings and origins.

For example, bow and bow

So, why don't we make use of this?

Kata Lembab vs Lembap

Setelah membaca [http://properti.kompas.com/read/2014/08/29/130941521/Rumah.Anda.Sehat.atau.Lembab] saya penasaran dengan kata mana yang benar, apakah lembab (seperti yang sudah saya rasakan benar) atau lembap?

Menurut KBBI, yang benar ternyata adalah lembap. Berarti selama ini saya salah menulis lembap.
https://kbbi.web.id/lembap

Apakah sebaiknya KBBI diupdate dengan pilihan kata lembab?

Bagaimana menurut anda?

Rapporteur = pelapor, penyusun laporan, penyusun MoU untuk rapat dalam perusahaan.
seorang pencatat data atau perekam yang ditunjuk oleh sebuah komite atau badan organisasi tertentu untuk menyiapkan laporan hasil meeting/rapat atau untuk melakukan investigasi/penyelidikan terhadap peristiwa tertentu.
(langka) seorang reporter (wartawan).
Saran: kata baru dalam bahasa Indonesia = raporter.
=================

Pelopor = pioneer; initiator; forerunner

I found other mistakes as well:
pioner (x) - wrong
pioneer (v) - correct
pelopor (x) - wrong
pelapor (v) - correct

Communicant -> should add [Archaic/Kuno-tidak dipakai lagi] untuk arti komunikan/pelapor.
The more common meaning would be:
A person who receives Holy Communion regularly. (Orang yang menerima Perjamuan Kudus/Komuni secara reguler.

Misleading Dictionary Entry of the Day

September 6th, 2017

#1.Entry: christiandom (x) - kekristenan (x)

This is not a valid English word. It just doesn't exist.
Most probably the lexicographer didn't re-check and just concluded from similar words such as (free - freedom), (martyr - martyrdom), etc.
The valid one is:
Christendom (noun) - Kekristenan dalam arti kolektif dilihat dari segi Sejarah Dunia (termasuk perkembangan dan lembaga-lembaganya).
Christianity (noun) - Sistem Kepercayaan Kristen dan arti keduanya sama dengan atas (Christendom).

Tips: always check, re-check, and investigate. In rare cases, even dictionaries make mistake.

Operasi perkalian

3x3=9

Sama halnya dengan contoh sebelumnya, jika pengoperasian bilangan matematika bisa diucapkan dalam berbagai cara. Operasi perkalian pun memiliki cara yang bermacam-macam yaitu three times three is nine, three times three equals to nine, dan three multipled by three is nine.

The correct one is multiplied.(from the word multiply -> Verb)
Multipled is incorrect because it functions only as Adjective and Noun.

This is a fatal mistake due to "you are teaching English to Indonesian how to say about "perkalian" or multiplication".

"Engrish"

「今日は工事中です」
"Japanese Under Construction"

外国人も多く訪れる京都・二条城で撮影された看板の写真。

A photograph of a signboard taken in Nijo Castle - Kyoto .
Many foreigners (will) visit (this signboard xD) (because of Engrish).
"Today is under construction"

「今日は工事中です」

いわゆる“うなぎ文”です。
日本人なら意味が通じますが、英語圏では「今日という日を工事中ってどういう意味だ!?」と掲示板などで話題になりました。
This signboard has become "hot topic" and I'm too lazy to translate.. One picture displays one thousand word, right?

Correction:
Erm... Today is not undergoing any "under construction"... Just put "Under construction" because the phrase "Today is under construction" IS totally weird and out of place xD.

Probably, difficult-to-digest phrase...let's discuss it!

Actually this time, I stumbled on this phrase. What I have known up until now is aside as an adverb. Apparently, there is another meaning aside from 'to or on one side; away; and out of consideration i.e.:

1.A remark not intended to be heard by everyone present
-A line spoken by an actor to the audience but not intended for others on the stage (Wordweb)
-Words spoken in a play for the audience to hear, but supposed not to be heard by the other characters.(Australian Oxford)
2.A remark that is not directly related to the main topic of discussion. <- this is what it means.

What I thought before:
1.Curious is an adjective.
2.Aside is an adverb
So, as a curious aside is grammatically incorrect. It should be Curiosity aside,..

Well, to avoid ambiguity or uncommon word, I propose a more common phrase:
As a side note,
On a side note,

I'm sorry to say, the antonym of 'curam' is not 'terjal' or 'tanjak'. It's 'landai', 'berjenjang' atau 'bertahap', dalam pengertian sebuah landaian/bidang atau dalam proses disebut juga bertahap.

Explanation:

This is obviously, NOT 'terjal' or 'tanjak' or 'curam'.

This is called 'sudut tajam' in Indonesian. (Seen from the perspective of the angle, meanwhile, seen from the overall perspective, the person who is travelling the angle, it's GRADUAL).

This is 'terjal' in Indonesian language.
